You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I can't square that
with my Democratic friends like the engineer and his wife
the doctor.

That would be my friend's wife, the doctor. Her private practice is
finally showing a profit after a few years. He has a bumper sticker
that says "Medicine for people not for profit", which is about the
insurance industry.

agree that all y'all are right-wing and I, the enlightened one, and a

Im certainly right-wing. I cant speak for anyone else. If enlightenment
is represented by a 100 Watt bulb, you would be a bright light, viewed at a
hundred meters during a heavy snowstorm. Love ya, buddy!

This would be a good time to go steal a couple of jars
of that expensive "Just Mayo"

If it's mail order, just pay by credit card. Once it's
delivered, cancel the purchase and claim you never
received it. The cops won't care.

So do your fingers. I do agree
that gloves are worthless but wearing them has never been
recommended either. Just wash your hands after being out
in public before touching your eyes, nose, mouth.

No you haven't.
Even the best N95 masks are not fail safe. They were never
intended to protect from a virus. However, they certainly
do help so no need to shun them. They are not worthless.
It's the best defense we have right now.

heh heh In a different tread you just told me that the police
aren't arresting anyone now in Bothell. Social distancing
and all that.

Anyway, your crime ridden neighborhood explains why you
can't get any food deliveries now.

I'm only talking calories vs calories. That's what matters
when it comes to gaining or losing weight. Equal calories
of either doesn't matter.

You can gain or lose weight with either food.
Obviously, healthy calories are better.

Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! You're making w.a.y. too much sense. Besides,
don't you know online shopping is not allowed in Washington state; it's
simply not done, none of the stores you mentioned above don't do that in
her state. The governor won't allow it, she'll be arrested, the state will
be put on lockdown again and the gardener stole her car.

Yet MORE lies from our resident attention whore. I just read about 6 news
articles coming from Washington state. Not wearing a mask is a misdemeanor
and the police and sheriffs association said they would NOT be issuing
tickets if you don't comply. Instead, they would be educating people why
they should wear a mask.

I have been getting lots of dietery advicesthe last few days. It seems
some of us who have heart issues get too much salt into our bodies and
it sucks water. The water adds weight and volume. I have lost 8 pounds
in three days.... all water.

LOL. Europeans have never seemed very smart. If what you say

It's not a one thing fits all especially with people with
problems.

Whenever I went on a strict diet, the first few days you lose
quite a bit of weight. Almost all of it is water weight. Same as
just go for a 12 mile run and you lose several pounds...all water

Anyway, only advice you should listen to is from doctor or a
registered dietitian...the college educated dietitians. My step
daughter is one. She works in a hospital and her current job is
to advise terminal cancer patients how to eat. It's a very
depressing job and she's studying for another career.

When she told me that...advising terminal cancer patients how to
eat, I told her
kind of jokingly but also serious... I would tell them to eat any
damn thing they want. Also go back to drinking and smoking if
they miss that. They're going to die soon anyway, why not enjoy
the small time they have left. That's not cruel, that's reality.
I would do that if I was given a few more months to live.
Go out with a happy note.

Ignore all RFC health advice, myself included.

Hope you do well with your issue, Dave.

You do know, don't you, that "right" and "left" are relative terms?

The European democracies are far to the left of anything our Democrats
would seriously propose, knowing that it would be a waste of their time.
Yet those same Europeans are quite happy with their governments' policies.

Our Republican party is so far to the right, citizens in European countries
can only goggle in amazement at how we can permit such fascists in our
midst.

That said, there are gradations of "left" and "right" on both sides of the pond.

The ones on this side have become further apart in recent years though.

Trump and Pelosi have taken the fight very personal too, imo. One
or
both needs to be voted out. If they both win in November, it will
be
4 more years of arguments, investigations and nothing worthwhile
being accomplished.

It's all out war. If the democrats watched the convention last
week,
they heard all the stuff that they wanted to hear.

To be fair though, they should watch the republican convention to
hear the other side's story.

Trump is not all that, but he also isn't Biden. Once again,
we have a choice of the lesser of two evils.

There's no permit required for a shotgom and this was not my first
one. I suppose it could depend on which part of NY and the particular
gun store. I don't live in NYC or any large city, I live in a very
rural part of NY State, at the perimeter of a very small village.
Often phone lines are overloaded as are the workers taking the
calls... not all parts of NYS are equally advanced electronically...
here we only recently got high speed lines and they are not really
very high speed... we were very lucky to get DISH not very long ago,
Cable TV was super slow and the TV service often went down at night
and on weekends when there was no one in their office to answer calls,
and most of their service techs are gone during hunting season.

The nearest gun shop here is in a family owned Hardware/Lumber store.
I didn't mind the short wait, it's an interesting store to look
around, and they sell a lot of items not available at Lowes/HomeDepot,
and have much better quality and service... the gun guy (who is also a
gunsmith) spent a lot of time helping me pick out the shotgun. They
also have better prices than the big sporting goods stores. I could
have gone to a larger fancier store if I felt like driving for an hour
but this was a three minute drive. The time I spent waiting was more
than saved in driving.

And even if I only wanted to shop just once a month when that mayo or
anything else I wanted was at the store I'd buy 2-3 to put on a shelf
at home. Julies only shortage is brain cells.

It boggles the mind when reading her posts. I understand why her husband
divorced her and why Angela only shows up for the occasional visit. Also,
why the 'gardener' steals from her left and right. Not only is she retarded,
but she's also an airhead. Can you imagine she and John Kuthe being married?

Were Julie the least bit concerned about her health she'd not eat any
kind of mayo, they are all mostly bad quality fat. Here between the
two of us we barely go through a quart jar of mayo in a year. It's
easy to prepare a healthful mayo substitute oneself from a little
EVOO, plain yogurt, lemon juice, and spices... blended with canned
tuna there's no noticeable difference.
Mostly Julie's bitches about everything is due to her profound
laziness, even all her imagined illnesses.

There's no such thing as "healthy" calories... calories are either
*healthful* or *unhealthful*.

LOL. It's strange how this pandemic has become political. And it's not
only the right-wing who complain about their rights, their freedom and
their whatever. Parts of the anti-vaxxer, chemtrail, hippie crowd have
also been triggered and think that governments use covid to control
the people. I guess paranoia knows no political boundaries.

She lives in a permanent state of confusion. But the beauty of it is

It's true. From a European perspective, almost all Americans are
right-wing. And yet, most Europeans are not socialists. Americans have
no clue what socialists are.

It's bad and, to a lesser degree, happens in Australia too. I think
it's the problem with 2 party countries. It becomes us and them.

Egg, olive oil and vinegar/lemon. Where's the bad fat?

LOL. You add tuna to it and that creates no noticeable difference? I
guess your tastebuds are retired.

Yes. Although healthy foods tend to be less calorific.

Dictionaries disagree with you. Who should we follow? Sheldon or the
dictionaries? Hmmm... difficult choice.

It might help if she got her new from a reliable source like her government's web
site, rather than right-wing talk radio.

I suggested that she move to "beautiful Bel Nor," but that she would need to be comfortable with certain things, like Benny, the small, benevolent butt plug.

I don't think it's strange. Covid-19 just happened during a critical point in an election year. The 2020 election was always going to be a dirty, contentious, war. It's a world war. The Ruskies want their man running the US because they love that America seems to in confused disarray and on the brink of a civil war. The Chinese are mostly looking for economic stability. The commies will be working their troll farms 24/7. We ain't seen nothing yet..
