I keep my hair short enough that I don't need a comb.

It depends on what you're reheating. Some meats get tough when
reheated, especially if you just throw it in the microwave and cook it
on *high* until it's hot. It affects the taste and the texture.

I found one for you on the UK version of Amazon.com:

It's a handy thing. It has a bubble level, much like one would use to
hang a picture and make sure it's straight.

Totally untrue. I always buy 18-20 pounders. Nothing stringy
about them except for the drumsticks that do have way too many
tendons. Not at all like chicken drums. Maybe that's what you are
referring to though.

Also, I've been told that the larger turkeys have more meat per
total pound but someone here said the opposite. Guess I'll have
to google that one.

I always liked buying 22-24lbers back when I worked for a Military Industrial Complex contractor. I was earning pretty good MONEY in terms of $$/year, but the cost on my Karma was terrible!

Mother Gaia likes it a LOT better now that I help other people! I do too!

Why? You live alone. Just like me. Why would you buy an 18 lb. turkey?

Unlike so many here, I DO like turkey....The original traditional
dinner plus all the leftovers. The more leftovers the merrier
here in VaBeachville.

Whenever guests or relatives come, it's plenty for everyone.
Even when nobody comes (like this year) I still like to cook
for an army. Plenty of leftovers for me that I actually like.

I have no problem with reheated meat. I can fill my freezer with
"homemade frozen dinners" plus lots of extra turkey meat frozen
in 1/2lb bags for future recipes. I have plenty. No need to eat
tons of turkey right away and get sick of it.....just save for
months later when you might enjoy it.

Also since I do enjoy the lean turkey meat, this year my one
store has it on sale for only 27cents per pound as long as you
also buy $35 more groceries. That's never a problem these days.
That's also way cheaper than I've seen in many years. I will
never pass up meat for 27 cent/lb.

Going there tomorrow just hoping they still have one left for
me.

Yes. And *serious leftovers* too. Unlike most here, I do like it
and don't tire of it. The real key to success with leftover
turkey is a wealth of alt turkey recipes.

At Thanksgiving turkeys are inexpensive, typically 29¢-39¢ a pound.
I try to find one under 12 pounds but this year the smallest was 14.5
pounds. With the two of us this year and the cats we'll do a good job
on it.. after three days we're turkeyed out, whatever remains goes out
for the critters... the feral cats will attack it. Years ago the
carcus became soup but I no longer find that the time, effort, and all
the added ingredients not worth it. I don't bother to make gravy
anymore, just a lot of empty calories, instead I pour the drippings
out on the snow, the critters think it's a frozen confection.

When my father and sister and I used to go in on buying and making Thanksgiving, when I lived in The Big House I used to pull the turkey out of the fridge and carve off ALL the meat I could into light and dark meat piles, then I'd make up Al foil packs of as much as you'd want to take out of the freezer for another meal, and I'd portion up the other leftovers too! Then that weekend after I'd take Thanksgiving Leftover Care Packages to them both! Yummy Thanksgiving Dinners from Leftover Land!

I definitely believe that, some people just scream "victim" almost as if
they had a large V on their forehead or something, the bullies and abusers
seem to pick them out.

Sure Jill, but you have said that you have thinner hair, which is easier to
wash and dry than the Asian type long hair that is usually quite thick and
half way or so down the back. I don't like long hair on myself due to it
being thin, so short works for me.

Yes, there's a lady at a club I belong to that wears her hair in a butch
type, she looks great in it too. Nice oval shaped head she has.

I don't know what I can make, I pulled something on the back of my upper leg
last night when trying to lift the dog, it made a loud pop and a crunch
sound. I could hardly walk afterward due to pain, so am on crutches for now.
Sounds like a Papa Murphy Pizza for Thanksgiving. I made a list for dh to
shop for, he's there now, but he doesn't usually shop or cook, so we'll see.

Ok. Time for me to leave here again. This is starting to sound
like the secret ******* food group finally coming out.

If you think women who talk about each others' looks are all *******s,
you haven't learnt much in your 6x years.

Bad attempt at twisting my meaning. Both you and Jill admiring
the nice shaped heads of other women. Maybe you two should get
together one day. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

That's a typical cowardly Gary cop-out. First you bitch and then you
pretend it's all good and you were only "teasing". Grow a pair, dude.

Calm down Gary. There are women who wear an almost shaved head
beautifully. It has to do with the right shaped head. I also have
always admired such a hair style on a woman that can carry it off.
