Totally untrue. I always buy 18-20 pounders. Nothing stringy
about them except for the drumsticks that do have way too many
tendons. Not at all like chicken drums. Maybe that's what you are
referring to though.

Also, I've been told that the larger turkeys have more meat per
total pound but someone here said the opposite. Guess I'll have
to google that one.
