How can he say it that it would not sound dispassionate. Kuthe is just one of many names posting here. He means no more to Wayne than any of the other reality challenged people posting. Kuthe was warned about letting his mania make bad decisions for himself. Not much more can be done. There is no reason for him to mean anything to Wayne. |

Get over your dumb notion rfc is aiming for a miracle cure. John has a long history on this group and it's used to his ways. Evidently he gets something out of rfc or he'd not be here. No need for anyone here to diagnose John; he's very aware of and upfront about being bipolar. If you paid more attention you'd know he has attended hospital (because he was aware of being ill), has been professionally diagnosed, and takes medication. That information is all posted by him in this thread (and many previous ones). You must be the only poster here who doesn't know all that, so best get down off your soapbox now. Janet UK |

If I ever run out of money in my 401k, I can tap into the equity of my house and live happily many more years. Both real estate and stock market are subject to fluctuations in value. Would be nice to have a few gold bars under the bed too. John is buying more than a house. He is buying happiness in the form of lifestyle. He likes having the tenant around, sort of like buying a family. I hope it works out for him as intended. |

That's also WHY I'm getting the red clay 1/2 pipe tile roof and the brick/tile front porch REPAIRED and RESTORED!! Yes it's gonna be but-assed expensive, but it will also add GREATLY to the value of this house! And yes I KNOW it will not add that much monetary value as it will cost me to do, but to think that ALL values can be equated to dollars is BULLSHIT! John Kuthe... |

I imagine her bad choices would include running up so much credit card debt that she had to get a consolidation loan. 31% interest on the consolidation loan????? Holy crap.... another bad choice. If she has that much debt it will likely take more than 3 years to pay it off so it is going to be more than double the principle. |

Yep, debt can easily become an EVIL MONSTER!! That's why I try to eschew it at every opportunity!! Cash on the barrelhead is best! John Kuthe... |

She was also underwater on a car. Rather than trade it and take a hit, she leased a new car and let the old one be repossessed. Then she took an even bigger hit when the auction was way low. The car she leased is based on 12,000 miles a year. At two years she is at 35,000 already. Unless she buys it, that will be another hit. She has 25 years to retirement ago and will probably still be in hock at that point. Maybe she'll meet a nice wealthy man and get married. This is an otherwise seemingly intelligent person. |

He had something like $30-40,000 in credit card debt and consolidated it to get lower rates. He married a woman (with one kid) who we thought was a bit of a low life and who later turned out to be a true scum bucket with a drug problem. They managed to get a mortgage on a small house and he immediately went out (in Novermber) and bought a bunch of patio furniture because it was on sale... all on credit cards. Then he got a macho looking car. He ended up divorced, and lost money on the sale of the house. If someone stepped in an paid off all his debts he would likely run out and charge a whole pile more on his cards. |
