Default Wednesday's heart healthy supper

Tonight I made curried chick peas. It was pretty easy. I sauteed a
chopped onion until soft, added some crush garlic and ginger, garam
masala and curry powder and let the aroma develop. Then I added a can of
chick peas a can of tomatoes and a tbsp of lemon juice. Let it cook for
about a half hour until it thickened and serviced in on Basmati rice.
This is the tastiest salt free heart healthy dishes I have tried.

And cruelty-free. Congratulations on reaching two goals at once.

In america, chickpeas, and other plants are sprayed with a
sub-lethal dose of roundup. This costlier extra plant torturing
procedure results in a tastier product afterwards.

Hold on a sec... I forgot to mention that just before serving, take it
off the heat and add two cups of spinach and stir it around.

Phew, for a moment I thought you were going to add a dead animal after
all.

That sounds good. I might have added the lemon juice just before serving;
a different effect if you like that sort of thing.

Once again...adding a dead animal is much more humane than
tossing in a live one.

I don't know better. I presented an alternative. Perhaps Dave would like the
dish sometimes with the lemon juice cooked in and other times with it
added at the end. That might forestall monotony.

Notice that the ****ing idiot troll was just sniping and had no comment
to make about the pros and cons of adding it last minute vs. cooking it
into the curry.
