I'm fairly short, so deep sinks aren't a problem for me. When we
updated the kitchen, even though the configuration didn't change the
opening to the sink got slightly smaller than we'd planned due to the
granite. We'd chosen a sink together that was perfect (IMO) - then he
called me at work saying it was too large for the opening when the
time came for them to install it... my only requirement was that I
needed enough room to lay my half-sheet pans flat in the sink,
otherwise I didn't care. So the alternative fits my criteria, but
it's deeper than the original choice. I've never had a back problem
using it, so it's fine by me. I could wash a medium sized dog in
there and not splash water all over the place.
