You hit the nail on the head here, I completely agree. Cooking Channel has the more "cooking oriented" shows these days. |

Kelsey compensates for her unfortunate last name rather well ;-) Her collards with bacon is good basic fa http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/reci...ith-bacon.html I mentioned G. Can't tell you his name, he seems short (at least on camera) and is a little pudgy but oh man can he cook! Hmmm, maybe Roger Mooking, who does the BBQ and grilling show? http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/chef...r-mooking.html I really like him too. And I didn't realize he was one of several Canadians on this channel. They grow some good chefs up there. |

I often miss things the first time they are aired. Some things are worth watching again. Sometimes they just get carried away showign the same thing over and over and over again. The Military channel is like that. They have come decent programs, but the problem is that the have a very small repertoire of programming that is constantly being recycled. If you get that station and watch just occasionally you will end up seeing the same program at least three times. BITE tv, a comedy channel out of Toronto is even worse. Food Network (Canada) occasionally has back to back shows where they go through an entire season of a show and when they hit the end they jsut start all over again. The next day it will be back to back shows of another program. It is not so bad if it is a show I like but these days there seems to be more crap on FN than good shows.... idiotic cooking competitions, phony spying on employees semi reality shows. |

I don't like most reruns but if they are most any of the shows that aired on PBS or Create, chances are, I will watch them again and again. With some exceptions. Not really into Joanne Weir or Martha Stewart. But Martin Yan, Ming Tsai, Julia Child, Jacques Pepin and some of the others? I will watch until I've memorized it! |

I have no use for the contests and quasi reality shows. The ones I couldn't stand were when they sent the people off to some remote area and then they had to do strange things to get the food, then maybe build a place to prepare and cook the food. And often they were working with native ingredients that they were not familiar with. It got to be less about cooking and more about who could run faster, swim faster, dive deeper, climb higher, etc. |

An industry expert says there is no chance of that. Her ham contract has dropped her, her publishers are declining to publish new book, QVC is considering and GMC or somebody and Home Depot have said they will continue to advertise on FN but they are insisting that their ads do not appear anywhere near her show.
