Seems like the Political Correct commie liberal muslims who are running our country have now infiltrated all aspects of our lives. If Paula Deen aint sacred we have no culture left. I am getting real riled up over this. Who has not used the big N word at some point? Know the N folks wear it plumb out. We are a real sick society. Hopefully the great unwashed masses will arise and put a stop to the madness.

You hit the nail on the head here, I completely agree.

Cooking Channel has the more "cooking oriented" shows these days.

I like Cooking Channel too. It's a back to basics type show, but I'm
particularly fond of Kelsey's Essentials.

I don't think I've ever caught him... there's another black guy that I
really like. Can't tell you his name, he seems short (at least on
camera) and is a little pudgy but oh man can he cook! I haven't seen
one show where he hasn't made me salivate.

Hmmm, maybe Roger Mooking, who does the BBQ and grilling show?

http://www.cookingchanneltv.com/chef...r-mooking.html

I really like him too.

And I didn't realize he was one of several Canadians on this channel.
They grow some good chefs up there.

Maybe you really meant Rob Rainford. He had a great show, all about
BBWing. But hold it... not short. Roger Mooking isn't exactly black. He
is Caribbean/Chinese, but he had a good show and lots of interesting dishes.

It's Roger Mooking. I know his face. Glad you know his pedigree, I
don't.

When is that on? I used to like "How To Boil Water". Even though I knew
most of what they had on there, I did learn some stuff.

Sorry, nothing is appointment television for me. I watch shows when I
stumble into them... but you could check the Cooking Channel for
times.

Yeah. I am the same. Don't even watch the Cooking Channel much because
whenever I look at it, it's a rerun.

Reruns are fine with me because I didn't see them the first time

The Food Network had no choice but to fire her. If they refused to,
then people would start a movement to send their advertisers nasty
notes, you know it would happen. The advertisers are who the Food
Network worries about, not Paula Deen.

I don't mind re-runs once in a while. I often miss things the first time
they are aired. Some things are worth watching again. Sometimes they
just get carried away showign the same thing over and over and over
again. The Military channel is like that. They have come decent
programs, but the problem is that the have a very small repertoire of
programming that is constantly being recycled. If you get that station
and watch just occasionally you will end up seeing the same program at
least three times. BITE tv, a comedy channel out of Toronto is even worse.

Food Network (Canada) occasionally has back to back shows where they go
through an entire season of a show and when they hit the end they jsut
start all over again. The next day it will be back to back shows of
another program. It is not so bad if it is a show I like but these days
there seems to be more crap on FN than good shows.... idiotic cooking
competitions, phony spying on employees semi reality shows.

I'm completely bored with most cooking shows anymore, nothing much new under
the sun at all. Once in awhile there was a new gadget I hadn't seen, but
other than that...

I am starting to find better cooking shows on network television than on
the Food Network. I have no use for the contests and quasi reality shows.

You said up-thread that you're seeing more cooking shows on network
television, so she will be able to take her party elsewhere if she's
popular enough.

But I just looked and don't really see anything of interest. Not into

I don't like most reruns but if they are most any of the shows that aired on
PBS or Create, chances are, I will watch them again and again. With some
exceptions. Not really into Joanne Weir or Martha Stewart. But Martin Yan,
Ming Tsai, Julia Child, Jacques Pepin and some of the others? I will watch
until I've memorized it!

That's true too. I can't say that I learn too much from those shows any
more. But there are some people I just like to watch!

The ones I couldn't stand were when they sent the people off to some remote
area and then they had to do strange things to get the food, then maybe
build a place to prepare and cook the food. And often they were working
with native ingredients that they were not familiar with. It got to be less
about cooking and more about who could run faster, swim faster, dive deeper,
climb higher, etc.

An industry expert says there is no chance of that. Her ham contract
has dropped her, her publishers are declining to publish new book, QVC
is considering and GMC or somebody and Home Depot have said they will
continue to advertise on FN but they are insisting that their ads do
not appear anywhere near her show. (Her show is off the air here)
Look for Paula to tell all on Wednesday on the Today show.

Yes. That's what I said above. PBS or Create which is run by PBS.

Looks like they have already taken her off of The Food Network. Twice today
her show was listed and twice they put something else on.
