It may have been "up to code" 100 years ago, but it isn't now. It
would *not* pass code as the codes exist today. Jst because it's
"inspected" by your landlord doesn't mean it's built according to
today's standards.

You house was built a decade before Upton Sinclair's "The Jungle".
