I did not know the question to which you referred, and so asked "What question?" You responded by saying "The question I've asked, obviously." It may be obvious to you, but I still have no idea of the question to which you have "never received an answer." Then, in the earlier post, I had written of the Carl's folks that "I know nothing about how they preserve their starter, but... Assuming that they freeze it, and assuming that it survives perfectly, what might that tell us about the issue of survival of frozen sourdough lactobacilli generally?" For some reason, you did not quote, nor did you answer the question I asked in that last paragraph, but you did respond to the first part by asking "You've not read any of Dick Adams' messages regarding this issue?" Please believe me when I repeat that I know nothing about how the folks that distribute Carl's starter maintain it, or preserve it, (and if I did have that knowledge, I believe I could somehow find the strength to own up to it.) All the best, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS." |
