Just curious, how old do you have to be before you're not
a young girl any longer? Or is it relative.

Definately relative. She looks good.. and younger than her age to me.

In Rachael's case, it's when you have to quit calling it "baby fat"
and just say "chunky."

I like her attitude too. "I don't leave the house unless they pay me",
so she works hard and then she totally relaxes.

We used to go to Florida for a month or two in the winter, staying in
an rv park. There is this little restaurant in St. Cloud, just south of
Orlando, that we went to at least once a week. It was recommended by
friends, because we wouldn't have gone there on our own. It used to be
a gas station from the looks of it. "Bonnie Lee's" has the best fried
chicken I've had anywhere. They don't open until 4 pm. but if you're
not there by quarter to, you have a wait. They have a limited menu, and
if you go there after the supper hour, you run the risk that they are
out of something. They buy their chicken every day and the quality is
top notch. Anyone that's in the area, I'd recommend you give it a
try....But they aren't open Sunday or Monday. It's family run, and I
miss it.....we haven't been south for more than two years....Sharon

See now this is the type of place that we would love! A good friend
chicken with some good creamed potatoes and/or real mac n' cheese is a thing
of beautiful.

Who used to say, "I cry for happy"?

Actually it's more like picnic fare with sides like mac salad, potato
salad, baked beans, cole slaw. Chicken, or fish, fried or broiled. A
three piece dinner ends up with 4-5 pieces and we always got an extra
pint of some kind of salad, a to-go container and we had another meal
for the next day. ..Sharon

$40 a day per person for food? If you watch the bottom line, you can
do it... that's why she's got the show and you don't. LOL We don't
think like that anymore, I know.

I got by on less than $40 a day for food during my recent trip to
Tokyo. Helped that the hotel had a good buffet breakfast for 800 yen
(about eight dollars).

I wouldn't claim to be representative, but for me, $40/day/person would be
$160/day while traveling. Only in unusual circumstances do I seek to exceed
that.

I never had a problem eating well on $40/day/person or less, (mostly
less), on vacation. I seek out the places were the locals go. I guess
if there were something really spectacular, I'd try it.

I think most overpriced joints are made for show.

$10 for a 4 ounce plate of micro-greens w/vinaigrette doesn't appeal to
me.

It is not difficult at all to spend less than $40 a day and eat well. You
have to know how to travel. and what to look for. Sure, I've spent much more
than that at times for one meal, but some of the best food I've ever eaten
was less than $10.

Last week I took a day trip with my wife. We had breakfast on the way to
Gloucester, a light lunch, and then a fantastic seafood dinner at the
Causeway restaurant. Total food for the day for the TWO of us was about $55
with tips.

Last April in Venice, a couple travelling with us had a lunch (sandwiches!)
in San Marcos square for $127, while my wife and I had lunch for $18
including wine. Lunch in Florence cost me close to $100 for the two of us
because of the location. For dinner, I walked two streets over and paid less
than $10 for a simpler , yet very good dinner for two. If you want to sit on
the piazza and dine, you pay for it and pay dearly at some places.

If they weren't very good, why were they picked? How does that work?

I remember you said that. It's her one show I did watch after I had
to give up the 30 minute thing. Thing is, I didn't actually think I'd go
to any of the places she mentioned. I just liked to see where she went.
It's apparent you can't take her recommendations seriously.

Maybe the restaurants ordered in for her... LOL Or since they knew they
were on TV they stepped it up and then went back to normal after she was
gone.
