that it's a bit like durian. It's ok while you eat it, but the smell
haunts you for hours afterwards.

It would be more appropriate to refer to meatless red beans and rice
as "meatless red beans and rice", since the expectation is that there
will be meat in it.

Only if you don't know jack shit about red beans and rice.

I put chicken stock in my vegetable soup. Since I'm the only person
eating it, all I need to say is "I'm having vegetable soup for lunch".

It's Bruce. Not much more to say. He even said i accused him of
sexual harassment which is a figment of his own imagination.

I do have a bean pot going and it's not vegetarian. I added 4oz bacon
to 1lb large limas (butter beans). It makes probably 12 1cup servings
(had to revise up a bit for this one as it developed). I was gauging
based on estimated beans and they swelled more than anticipated so must
have been a bit fresher than my normal store has. Cooked faster too.

Here's cshenk commenting on the fact that I was calling her cshenkie.
Dated 22/04/2018.

"Yes, and I'm tired of the sexual harassment. He just tried to define
it as a term of 'endearment' as if that makes it ok after I have told
him to cease for many months. It's not 'endearing' at all. It is
sexual harassment at this stage.

He's killfile material because neither I, nor anyone else has to put
up with that in their lives. It's just wrong."

How's that for a figment of my imagination, cshenk? You accusing me of
sexual harassment is much worse than anything I've ever done to you.
"It's just wrong."

Bruce, something is wrong in your head and probably always was. The
fact that you postively lurk to find any shred of a post about you and
reply right away shows you are not normal people. That you come up
with a new nymshift makes it pretty obvious that mst of the nymshifting
here is likely you.

Welcome to yet another killfile.

Next thing ya know, they'll invite yoose to their bingo game!

Here's a tip (all hobby farmers know this, but yoose don't): If
yoose want to make biddies cluck and cackle and be happy, go to the
feed store, and buy yoose a big ole 50# bag of shelled corn, or
scratch feed.

Read the ingredient list very carefully. If it has any dead animals
listed, go back and whine, threaten, and stamp yoose foot about it.
They will give yoose money back, and laugh the rest of the day.

If not:

Sprinkle it all around, them mean old biddies will come a'clucking
and pecking every grain up. They may even lay yoose an egg or two.

And remember, Joan has promised to send yoose a water pistol for
cristmas, so yoose life ain't so bad. When yoose gets a little more
mature, I'll send yoose a BB gun.

He could not resist nymshifting to reply to something I posted earlier,

Damn, now you tell us! He is so worried about not having a gun, some
of us were planning on sending him a water pistol (and even a BB gun).

Hell, he may be as deranged as kuth.

Note to self: change order: Daisy BB gun to murphy's oil soap (for
wooden shoes) and 1 year subscription for PETA playmates magazine.

Poor druce. Here's a tip: When mean old biddies shit in yoose face
time after time, and yoose just keep coming back for more ... Hell
they figure yoose like it. Yoose must.

So, grin and bear it, else pull up yoose pants, saddle yoose donkey,

Pinto beans. No flavor, but a good "neutral" cooking bean.

I find most beans boring without meat. No matter how many herbs and
spices I add, pinto beans need some meat! I usually add ground beef.
Even "mushy pea" (I like yellow) soup requires some "streaky bacon".

First try 'em without soaking and see how long it takes for the beans to
start providing "cream". That's the were the beans give of some of
their internal starches and make their own gravy or "cream". You'll
know. The water will become thicker.

Then try "soaking" them. You will discover thick-skinned beans (Limas,
kidney, etc) cook too fast on the inside, when soaked. Not soaking lets
the bean skins cook (put beans into a "rolling-boil"), longer.
