One good thing about the EU is that it created more government.

Now that y'all really know what the choices and consequences are, I
wonder what the result of a second referendum would be.

Look at more famous presidents. Lincoln filed once, but he did
pay that back eventually. A good example is beloved Thomas
Jefferson who filed for bankruptcy several times. It was said
about him, "An excellent President but he couldn't manage money
worth a damn."

Donald Trump trades on being an expert businessman. Another outright
lie.

For Pete's sake, the man couldn't successfully sell steaks to Americans.
How difficult is that?

Yes, a lot more government and bureaucracy - from another country as a
bonus.

Yet when one visits downtown Chicago, one sees a beautiful glittering tower with the name "Trump" emblazoned upon it...

His business "saga" is a perfect example of the beauty of capitalism, e.g. capitalism is basically about "creative destruction"...

He's earned and lost billions, has dabbled in many spheres - remember Trump Air? - and despite all he is wealthy AND he became President...I'd call that a real Amerian success story...!!!

Or those American Icons such as JFK or FDR...the now beloved Harry Truman was nurtured by the corrupt Kansas City Pendergast mafia, as a result of that he would not be electable now...etc., etc., etc....

The Donald's personal behavior during his White House tenure has been exemplary in comparison...

Trump Steaks
Trump University
Trump Casino
Trump Vodka
Trump Airlines
Trump Magazine
Trump Mortgage

Maybe he should stick to real estate. At least that has some intrinsic
value beyond a sucker's willingness to pay for his name.

You two make fairly poor ambassadors for Australia. Nothing
better to say when someone disagrees with you and just resort to
name-calling. Every time. I do firmly believe though that most
Australians don't want to be either of you.

It's tough on the contractors though, when he doesn't pay them

I did read once that during a very down time, he was selling his
name to others.

Saw a very old documentary/interview about him once. He told the
story of when he was building the Trump Towers in NYC. He had
borrowed many millions (I don't remember the amounts now) from a
group of bankers to build this. Maybe $130 million (?).

Well long before it was finished, with cost overruns, he was
running out of money. He met with the group of bankers again and
told them he needed another $70 million (?) to complete it. They
refused to give it to him.

He told them this: "If you give me this extra money, I can finish
and you'll get all your investment back plus profits. If you say
NO, I'll just file for bankruptcy and you'll lose all of your
origional investments."

They gave him the extra money, he finished the building and the
bankers did get all of the money plus profit back.

I was impressed how he came back with that and stood up to them.
They all won in the end.

"You can take a gamble on me and win...or if you don't you'll lose everything..."

He's an astute businessmen, that's why his book is "The Art of the Deal"...

Yup, Gary, these two gibbering "Ozzie Mozzie" (mozzie = mosquito) nitwits make excellent Australian "anti - Ambassadors"...they carry on like drunken convicts just debarked from the convict ship...

Sadly, they both think they know it all. We all know how that
saying goes, "He who knows it all knows nothing." Both exhibit
low self-esteem behavior and absolutely no sense of humor. Sad
cases both.

Trump actually came to Kitchener, Ontario to give a speech. So did good ole' Willy the pimp.

He does that all the time. That is a major part of his business,
actually.

You do realize that the reason he was only dealing with Deutsche bank
is because no other bank would tough him due to his multiple major
defaults/bankruptcies?

And Deutsche Bank is under investigation about his dealings with them,
as well as for the bank's money-laundering in many other cases

Ted Cruz is a natural born citizen under the U. S. Constitution therefore
eligible to run for president. Maybe he didn't try to hide his birth
certificate.

And the American Natives are still quite wary of her and her apology.

Did you read the article where a few years ago she was invited to submit
some native American recipes to the "Pow Wow Chow" cookbook?? It seems
at least one of them she copied from the 'New York Times' and is in no
way deemed 'native American.'

It figures, LOL..!!!

Wouldn't be a bit surprised if she claimed to have been presented at Court in London...

Even the link produced by pathologically right-wing GM doesn't say she
made money from the claim. GM's link is about an overly precious
native American playing the victim.

I don't understand why Americans have this tendency to lie about
people they disagree with. You don't like Warren so you spread lies
about her and believe other people's lies about her. Can't y'all act a
bit more mature and stick to politics? Disagree with her political
views, but stop the smear campaigns and the lying. It's quite
disgusting. Like a bunch of hysterical children.

LOL, you call me names all the time. I only say you're the missing
link between Beavis and Butt-head.

And why should Australians want to be like me? What kind of weird idea
is that?

Warren was anointed as the first Native American law professor at
Harvard. She probably didn't get a nickel or other emoluments from her
exalted fraud. Ya think! Not bad for a blue eyed blonde. It makes me
question the critical thinking ability at Harvard.

Critical thinking... from educational institutions? <rhetorical
question>

If you have the time and inclination, have a listen to this podcast:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZZNvT1vaJg

These two academics not only had these fake papers published, but also
received awards from some of them. What were the topics, you ask?
One was titled Human Reaction to Rape Culture and Queer
Performativity at Urban Dog Parks in Portland, Oregon, another was
Do dogs suffer oppression based upon (perceived) gender? How about
Rubbing One Out: Defining Metasexual Violence of Objectification
Through Nonconsensual Masturbation". Yes, not only peer reviewed and
published, but received awards for these.

Any wonder Gen Z and millenials are so fvcked up.

Welcome. Most of Joe Rogan's podcasts are fascinating. His guests come
from all walks of life. Its refreshing and far more informative to
have long form conversations. It's almost a lost art in this age of 15
second sound bites which are basically meaningless and misleading.
Case in point - recently Bernie Sanders was a guest, the viewers
response was interesting because many people's perception of him
changed completely. This was entirely due to the long form
conversation format, which gave him the opportunity to discuss things
in detail.

You're not wrong, but the fact that he's a massive liar doesn't make
the fact that she's a smaller liar acceptable.

You'll never find a lesser liar than her as a candidate. Just be
honest and admit you won't vote for her because she's too progressive
for you.

Dan Quayle, Bernie Sanders and Walter Mondale have never been caught
out in a lie that I' aware of.

Why are you so invested in this woman, is it just because certain
people you dislike in this group dislike her?

Right wing spin always finds something, just wait. Maybe Quayle lied
about potatoes.

Sanders, Warren, both are a breath of fresh air in the US. It's just
that Sanders is so old.

This is how it works. Joan's extreme right wing, so she picks up and
repeats everything negative that she hears about Democrats and never
says a bad word about Trump. Americans tend to be very black and
white. And I don't mean skin colour. No nuance or greys allowed.

Cindy's middle of the road, so she doesn't like Warren or Trump. Same
mechanism at work.
