Default Winner tacos!

Hormel now has some precooked taco meat. Chicken and pork. Now if only I
could remember where I bought it. Maybe QFC? Smelled horrid to me and I
did not try it but daughter really liked it. Oddly enough it was dark meat
which she doesn't normally like. I've been eating a lot of taco salads
since I got those baking molds.

Now if I could just buy the right meat next time. Somehow I managed to buy
grass fed patties. The new Winco had a ton of people over in the meat
section and I stood there waiting for a while to get near it. I just looked
at the fat content. Did not see the part about patties. It's fine and it
worked. Just need to pay more attention next time.

I had better get my fill of salad before the weather turns cold here.
Produce prices are already going up on some things, like peppers.

They have beef too. How bad could Tex Mex Spam be... I'll have to try
it... the two reviews gave it five stars. I think Walmart sells it.
http://hormel.com/Brands/Hormel-Taco-Meats.aspx
Only thing it's kind of pricey:
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hormel-Tac...12-oz/45750335
At that price I'd rather make my own and freeze portions.

Now's the time to fill your freezer with thick and hearty vegetable
soups... I bet you can use that Hormel taco meat as a base for a Tex
Mex soup... add canned diced tomatoes and whatever veggies you like,
peppers would work well... in fact I bet that taco meat would work
well in stuffed peppers, blended with a cheesey polenta... would
freeze well too.
Thanks for the info.

I have, on at least three prior occasions, written posts that delve into
the “alleged” lurid past of one of our former presidents, George Herbert
Walker Bush (GHWB), the current but ailing patriarch of the Bush Family
Dynasty – I refer to them as the Bush Family Crime Syndicate, certainly
not in terms of endearment – but rather more like the Mafia Godfather
who prepares his sons to take over the family business upon his death.
This particular post references an article by Stew Webb, a contributor
of Veterans Today.

In his life-time, George H. W. Bush (GHWB) has controlled every
clandestine (hidden from view) and secret organization/operation within
the arsenal of the United States government as either 1) Director of the
CIA, 2) Vice President to Ronald Reagan (who was an unwitting puppet to
the Bush controlled cabal – GHWB secretly gave Reagan poisons that
hastened his fall into Alzheimer’s Disease and evidence suggests he
helped plan Reagan’ attempted assassination by John Hinckley, whose
family were close friends of the Bush family – a coincidence?) and 3)
ultimately as President of the United States before Bill Clinton took
office.

I'd really like to know why you are so excited about pre-cooked meat.
It simply reaffirms you don't actually cook anything. You heat things
up. How about you open a can of beans to serve on the side of that
Tex-Mex "homemade" food you're always talking about?

Uh huh. Made with pre-cooked whatever meat. Sorry, I cannot imagine
eating like that much less posting about it.

BTW, you don't have to wait a year to buy lettuce or other salad greens.
You can buy them year round in the US. Even in Bothell.

Oh boy...here I go... This came quicker than I expected too.
This was exactly what I was talking about a few days ago.
Jill was actually my main target too...

Yet Jill will use canned chicken broth and defend her use of it.
Pot/kettle there Jill. lol

Not hardly, Gary. Pre-cooked meat for tacos doesn't begin to equate
with tarting up some chicken broth ADDED to homemade stock to make soup.

Because it got eaten!!!! I didn't eat it. I'd just like to come up with
one meal that we can all eat. And she will eat this so we can all have
tacos. I open a can of beans every day. Nothing new there.

So? It's not necessary to cook the meat fresh for taco salads. I cook a
pound or two at a time and if there is too much excess, I portion it out for
the freezer.

What are you talking about? I always have greens in my fridge unless we've
been snowed in.

Well, I'm not eating that meat Jill. She likes it and that's all that
matters.
