You might not like dsi1 but he is no troll! He never changes his nick or
pretends to be something different. I appreciate his sense of humour which
too many people take as serious. It is 'off the wall' but I like that.

WTF?

Why do you give this guy such a wide berth?

Does he have photos of you or something?

That's no typo, it's an indication of gross ignorance... there's no
such word "alot".

So do I, very much so, and I'm all for people posting to whom they choose to
post to without all the dire warnings/threats from others. :-)

No mystery there, most folks here don't cook. Instead thay use RFC as
their personal Jerry Springer show... and the phonies can get away
with it because everyone who eats knows a little something about
cooking from watching foodtv and reading the labels on their freezer
entrees.... imagine, the pinheads who never cook can make light year
long threads about mac 'n cheese, when all they ever ate came in that
green box or more likely the cheapo generic. Everyone here who cooks
by following recipes is no more a cook than a paint by numbers maven
is an artist.

I tend to follow users that aren't in continual dialogue with trolls,
or flame-baiters. I skim the rest. But the most important thing, as
here, is to talk about trolls and flame-baiters, who's the worst who's
the best, and then settle into a nice long bickering session with one
another about them or some other randomly selected topic, eventually
concluding with a lot of name calling.

Folks at their finest!

Prove that using rational metrics.

I didn't retaliate for many years, but I damned well do now, especially if
it is personal. If you don't, they think they have free rein. I don't put
up with personal attacks any more but I much prefer to be talking cooking.

Now, have you sorted out your beans?? )

This evening I made Italian breaded pork chops with chips and sweetcorn.
Well, I didn't have the chips and corn because I am doing low-carb and there
was enough on the chops. Very good though, just the same

Yes I have: I started out cursing at them, have muttered through the
day despite my wife's protest that the lamb/bean stew was fabulous
(she's biased and can't be trusted). I then took a handful of
remaining uncooked beans out of bag and hammered them on the front
portch all the while reciting incantations of loathing.

Finally I wrote a VERY bitter letter to them. They must atone!

What a vision!!!! I expect the bean gods were most impressed! Perfection
is the only way! Accept nothing less!!!

True, but many act as if they're the parent with telling people that their
food choices are wrong, the cooking method is wrong, the way the food looks
is wrong, and so on, so it's not a big leap for these types to try to tell
people who to post to, with "try" being the key word.

?????????????? Have you lost the plot? Far from excusing or
approving him, Carol just slammed Sheldon (requoted in your own post,
and again above) with

"Sheldon, there arent many of us who put up with your flat out
creapy bad behavior. If you were in the miltary now, you'd be
tossed out on your ass so fast you wouldnt even know it was the
pavement that hit you before you blacked out.

There is no excuse for some of the things you have posted in the
last 2 days and you know it"

Unmoderated Newsgroups are not for the thin skinned/weak minded...
it's that simple... when someone posts something someone doesn't like
the best tact is to STFU and move to the next post or unsubsribe and
stay away from unmoderated Newsgroups. I find it very easy to ignore
whatever/whoever without resorting to babyish/low IQ threats of
killfiles. The mere mention of ones killfile is indicative of the
weakest wussiest wormiest lowest IQ on the net. What's ironic is that
those who whine the most about what others post are those who
contribute the least useful information.

I've never killfiled anyone, but it is easy to skip over them and I would
not care much for a moderated newsgroup at all. I can decide for myself
what's appropriate, without someone else deciding that I/others have
offended their sensibilities.

IMO, those who have anything bad to say about kill files don't have
one. The rest of us who do, know we don't want to see certain names
in our TOC and let the program do the skipping for us.
