Default Oh, ever made a mistake and fixed it?

Sorry no fancy pictures.

I had some chicken to use up, deboned legs and so on mixed pack.

So I started a kinda asian dish with May Ploy and Jufran Banana sauce
and a bit of spiced vinegar. Dunkede it all in a pan to meld for a bit
after cutting the chicken to bite size (larger bite, not mini ones).
On stirring it was a bit hot. I didnt mind but i am feeding 2 others
who are not fans of hot.

Grin, Charlotte (daughter) agreed it was hotter than she preferred so
we fixed it with Heinz Ketchup.

I have never used Ketchup in a dish before. Maybe that is silly to
some of you but it is not part of my cookery.

Anyways, may be old hat to many of you, but was not to me.

once a gal pal was cooking a box mix cake, and took it out of the oven too
soon (didn't test it!), and tossed it on a cooling rack. It failed and a
bunch of the wet stuff went right through the rack onto the counter, and the
cooked portions stayed on top of the rack, in a big mess. She was going to
toss it out but I said "wait, I always wondered". So I just scooped it all
back in the cake tin and cooked it again. It was fine. Well, if you looked
at it carefully you could see something was odd, but it tasted just fine.

She made another one to take to work.

I am getting more and more confused reading these seemingly weird posts.
And cshenk has been in my KF for some long time. I also find it hard to
believe that an American has never used ketchup or is using the word
"cookery". Americans would say "cooking" and would most likely have made a
meatloaf. I realize that not all meatloaf has ketchup in it but it often
has it on top if not in it. What else do you cook with ketchup? I seem to
vaguely remember making something once that used it but I can't remember
what it was.

They're just trying to dilute YOUR drivel. Can't take some competition?
