once a gal pal was cooking a box mix cake, and took it out of the oven too
soon (didn't test it!), and tossed it on a cooling rack. It failed and a
bunch of the wet stuff went right through the rack onto the counter, and the
cooked portions stayed on top of the rack, in a big mess. She was going to
toss it out but I said "wait, I always wondered". So I just scooped it all
back in the cake tin and cooked it again. It was fine. Well, if you looked
at it carefully you could see something was odd, but it tasted just fine.
She made another one to take to work.
