Default Frozen Lobster

I bought a tub of frozen lobster today. It was expensive but rather
lacking in taste. I think Japanese style artificial crab (surimi) would
be just as good and a lot cheaper.

Depends where you buy. I've bought Australian and New Zealand
frozen lobster tails (raw) and they have been wonderful. You
just have to find a good fishmonger (very difficult) that you
can trust.

I've had good thawed lobster tails but this was cooked lobster meat.

I used to occasionally by frozen canned lobster meat and used it for
Lobster Newburg. It was pretty good. It was cheaper than buying a couple
lobsters and had enough meat for 2-3 servings.
