Default Need Help: baking Chicken

Hello,

I'm a bachelor and want to cook some chicken breasts tonight. They
are frozen. I want to bake them. How long from frozen do I put them
in the oven, and what temp?

Thanks!

baking them is an option but i think they'd taste much better if you thawed,
then seasoned (salt and pepper) and pan fried them in some olive oil. you
won't be adding saturated fat with olive oil and the taste is far better
than bland baked chicken breast.

Thanks.

I got hungry and threw them in the oven (frozen) @ 350. It is looking
a little dry so I put some olive oil on top. I'm guessing about an
hour?

You should never cook anything frozen. Not only will you not be able to
gauge when they are done nor will they taste as good. If you had a microwave
you could have defrosted them that way. If not, I would have waited till the
next day.

The only way I like those boneless chicken breasts is to pound them as thin as
possible with a meat mallet, then dip them in seasoned bread crumbs, and then
panfry them in a little light olive oil.
Personally, the breast is my least favorite part of the chicken. I prefer legs
or thighs.

If you need to bake a couple of frozen breasts, make sure you have about
2 hours. Put them in a covered baking dish with bay leaves, onions,
chopped garlic, and carrots and a teaspoon of salt. Cover with red or
white wine (crappy wine is OK) and bake at 350 for 2 hours. The wine
will make the breasts tender, and they should be cooked after 2 hours.
This is essentially a simple coq au vin. You can also put in potatoes,
mushrooms, celery, and ham. The most important things are the chicken,
wine, garlic and onions.

That's after thawing I hope. Not gonna marinate well at a 20 min thaw nor
cook well at 30 mins. Unless you're using that Flavowave oven (provided
it works as advertised, had something like it a long time ago, worked well,
but was a horrendous housekeeper and tossed it rather than try to clean it
lol);.
