Default sauerkraut

Does anyone have a recipe for making sauerkraut in the jar in which it
is canned? We have a time and place problem which does not allow us to
do in in bulk for the fermentation.

I've posted it a couple of times here; I don't have it handy but if you
can't find it in Google let me know.

Last year I tried using half gallon jars instead of quarts and it all
spoiled. I've never lost a single jar when using quart jars.
