Default Shelf life

If you make your own pickles and put them in the refrigerator what is a
reasonable amount of time to expect them to stay edible?

How would you know they are bad?

If they are pickled and refrigerated they should never go bad. Your
spouse will throw them out after a few years, but that's a different
problem. ;-)

I brine ferment mine and they last about 10-12 months in the fridge.

Slime, black/gray/blue fuzzy growths, soft/flabby.

Talking back when you bite into the pickle. Smells bad when you open the
jar. Tries to get out and bite you. Many ways.
