My Steak And Kidney Stew

1 lb lean veal shoulder
14 oz veal kidneys
3 c Green Giant Mixed Vegetables
Frozen
2 ts kosher salt
1/2 c water
1 lg onion ; s
2 c broth ; any type
1/2 c all-purpose flour
3 TB canned tomato paste
1/2 c uncooked barley

Brown meat and kidneys in a little fat. Add onions and saute a
fewminutes.Add stock and simmer til meat is tender.Add mixed veg and cook
til veggies are cooked.Mix flour and water and thicken stew with it.POINTS
