Default tinypics

I do like the use of tinypics, which is new since I last visited this
cooking group.

It is so nice to see what you're talking about.

I don't usually take a photo of my meals, but I did recently when I
went to a lot of trouble and made boned out quail with savoury rice
stuffing.

Here is a pic of the raw quail, after a lot of effort boning them out
for a dinner party
http://tinypic.com/e63st0.jpg

And the cooked quails, served on a bread and butter plate (side
plate?) to give you an idea of size

WONDERFUL, Kathy! I love to see pics!
I don't like the taste of quails but is nice to see how you cooked them.

Oh, those are lovely! A good bit of work, I imagine. I love quail, but
haven't had it for a very long time.

Cute pics! The neat thing about tinypic is you can share with those
interested while those not interested need not click the links. I
really enjoy seeing pics of what others are cooking. One pic says so
much more than words IMO.

What a cutie! I hadn't tried tinypic yet, but yeah, it's pretty
cool. I put up a picture of one of my girls -- this is Missy, in
our willow tree:

Luckily it's a young tree!

Thank you! We adopted her and her sister (Mia) from my aunt;
they were orphaned strays. They're a little over 3 years old
now. I've always been more of a dog person, but I really love
our kitty-girls... :-)

Here's Jack and Jilly at about one week, just finished their eye
dropper feeding. I rescued them as newborns in my backyard, their
mother was too young and abandoned them. There were two others but
they were already goners, another few hours and Jack and Jilly would
not have made it either... was a LOT of work getting them to survive,
they were very sick, a LOT of money too. But was well worth it, I'd
not trade them for anything, they're priceless.

http://tinypic.com/e6cei0.jpg

Anyone with an AOL account can see all six of my cats on my Profile
page, all are rescued. Mooch was abused as a kitten, but became a fine
companion, she's always at my side and is the world's best mouser, I
swear she's got radar the military can only dream about and it's
uncanny how she knows to wait for the mouse to venture out to the point
of no return where it seals its own fate... and then her fire control
locks on and it's all over in milliseconds... the mouse never knows.

Peachie and Blackie were found minutes old in a trash can in a knotted
plastic bag on a freezing cold Dec. day, and now they are perfect, two
of the mellowest loving cats... Jilly adopted them right away so they
were much easier for me to care for, I only had to feed them, Jilly did
everything else... she's still their mommy.

Little angel? It looks strange to me that it could be the cat of such a bad

Here's a pic of her last year with me. She's a chihuahua.

Not yet, Pandora. We just finally finished moving to our new home in a
Mobile Home Park. Took us a full week.

Now I just have to get organized.

Looks like the one on the left needed eye treatments? :-)

We've bottle raised kittens from nearly newborn as well. Eyes still
closed... A lot of work but OH so worth it!

Sheldon, have you noted that bottle raised cats are exceptionally loving
and attached to their humans, more so than others?

Also, we always used KMR and every time ended up having to take the
babies to the vet for constipation. She always gave us "Laxatone" and a
little pea sized portion of that with each formula feeding always took
care of it. Did you run into that problem?

We've bottle raised 8 kittens total over the years. 3 orphaned litters.

Also 3 litters of baby skunks that were later turned over to wildlife
rescue after weaning. They were SO special:

http://tinypic.com/e6soc6.jpg
http://tinypic.com/e6soli.jpg

That is my little sister holding them, and this pair was about 6 weeks
old in that picture. We took them out in the back yard for exercize. And
no, they never sprayed us. We got them at less than a week old, eyes
still closed. Baby skunks are raised on KMR kitten formula.

I wish it was legal to keep them as pets in Texas. IMHO they are better
than ferrets!

I was think that she might be a chihuahua, but I've seldom seen them so
tiny. She's still quite a small little doll.

Thanks, Helen.

Oh I dunno. It's not uncommon for cat owners to treat their pets FAR
better than they do fellow humans! ;-)

I'm betting they eat well.....
