Normally i just shake my head and wonder why the type of person that thinks they know the "Truth" about the concept called "God" think the way they do, i assume it is a sort of arrogant, philosophical atavism, a throw back to a more primitive time. I am aware of the political and historical arguments for theological conformity but i am surprised when i experience it in the modern west. But i am more saddened than surprised by what seems to be "those peoples" lack of awareness of the history of such a way of thinking, thought control or attempts to impose it from a political or religious point of view invariably leads to oppression and brutality. --- Joseph Littleshoes |

[snip] Although all this cross-posting is polluting the hell out of rfc, I confess to a certain sneaky pleasure in seeing what this Chung guy posts. In my ideal universe all this superstitious bullshit vanishes, and one way to speed up the process is to allow the widest possible dissemination of this crap, so that more and more people can see how stupid it is. Reductio ad absurdum to be sure, but to be expected because it stems from absurd premises. Some mainstream Christians may think Chung is an idiot because he's extreme, but that's just because they haven't listened closely enough to their own preachers. If Chung's posts cause them to do so, all the better, say I. -aem |

If you enjoy Chung's posts, find out which ng he's posting to and go read whatever you like. But please don't bring it here. Jill |
