Default Coca-Colaź Ham - New Variant

Ingredients:

One shank-end fully cooked ham - 7-9 lbs
Fresh-ground black pepper
Three 12-oz cans Coca-Colaź
Fresh ginger (a piece as long as a finger)
12-15 Whole Cloves

Preheat Oven to 200f

Rub ham all over with pepper and put it in the oven in a roasting pan with rack.

Slice the ginger into coins, and add to Coca-Colaź and cloves in a large sauce pan. Boil until reduced to a syrup. It's ready when the bubbles get big, and there is about 3/4 of a cup in the pan. Strain and brush over ham. Baste the ham two more times, thirty minutes apart. The timing is not critical for the baking of the ham. Allow at least three hours, but after that you can hold it in the oven until 20 minutes before serving.

Try it -- you'll love it.
