USDA Choice is the best grade most markets sell, few sell Select and
even fewer sell Prime.

Rarely, and mostly to buy TP. I've never bought meat there unless it
was in a can, SPAM by the case. However BJs has better prices on bulk
.... has to be some five years the last time I've been to Walmart... I
think school clothes for the grands... they outgrow them before they
wear out.

Thanks for the info. I'm more likely to shop he

We don't eat much beef. There's a New York strip in my freezer
that's been there almost a year.

Smile, perhaps 'electronic coupons' might be a better name? On the
email is an eVIC coupon section. You select what you want and when you
use your eVIC card later, those are then applied. No smartphone
required.

I seldom clip actual paper coupons any more. To me it became a 'fun
game' that when Charlotte moved on with her life, was no longer a
Mommie/Charlotte time and saving some 3$ or so, didn't fit the time it
took to do it.

I won't say the prices were always the best in town, but the *quality*
more than makes up for it.

Well, there didn't seem to be any shortage of workers when they tore
down the old Publix building back in February. I haven't seen any sort
of progress since. New homes are being built on Dataw so there doesn't
appear to be a shortage of residential construction workers, either.

The man I work for has done a total gut-job renovation to the house they
bought in Beaufort last September. The property has a garage apartment;
he and his wife have been living in it while the work is being done. No
shortage of workers there and no real delays, either. They move out of
the garage apartment and into the house at the end of next week.

BJ's has all 3 levels too. I shop there sometimes. There's one on
Virginia Beach BLVD just west of Rosemont.

You really need to get out more. Even BJ's has all 3 grades and now
you say you shop there vice Walmart.

Beef jerky= Select most of the time. It cooks up just right and if you
know how to cut it right, and marinade right, will be very full of
flavor.

Most uses= Choice, good all around cut

Rare special dinners= Prime. We don't eat that much beef and a Prime
cut works well for our few steak dinners.

Takes time to undo it all is my guess. Plus, gives folks warning.
Wise ones are getting jobs now when pay is at premium to get anyone
willing to work.

My granddaughter wanted to change jobs. Two applications, two job
offers. One day.

Many places have signs for help. Went to a restaurant a couple of weeks
ago and they are closed one day for lack of help. Passing through
Virginia stopped for a meal at Wendy's and the dining room is closed at
8 PM for lack of help.

Good for her! Did she interview and/or accept either of them?

I'm sure it depends on the type of work you're able to do. Age is also
a factor. Thirty years ago I'd have had no trouble carrying a tray with
4-6 heavy plates of food (doesn't apply to places like Wendy's). I no
longer have the upper arm strength. I also cannot see to drive at night
and live in a fairly rural area with no street lights, dark 2 country
lane roads and lots of deer. So I didn't apply for restaurant jobs.

There doesn't seem to be a shortage of construction workers in this part
of SC, though. That includes road construction/repair work which gets
done pretty darn quickly. I don't know what the hold-up is on building
the new Harris Teeter supermarket.
