Julie, when I needed unsalted nuts for candy making, and couldn't find them in my supermarket, I bought
supplies from a locally-owned candy shop. It might be worth a try, if you have such shops in your area.

They are the only brand around here that are always good... sold at
most markets here... and the larger the bag the lower the cost.
Probably good because they sell fast so are always fresh. Gin mills
here put them out in big buckets, eat all you want... natcherly they
put out the salty ones, peeps drink more. I buy unsalted, still has
no effect on my case a month Crystal Palace bill. I really don't buy
many, only a small bag now and then, still I don't throw the shells on
the floor. I don't like peanuts all that much, I much prefer
pistachios. I prefer the pistachios from California, those from
Turkey can't compete.

Why do you sometimes say you never drink alcohol and other times you
tell us about your cases of vodka? Just curious.

Yeah, they're good. I think I like all nuts. I'm making nut burgers
soon. That might sound like a vegetarian nightmare, but they can be
quite good.

Whatever, but watch yoose own nuts around Popeye. That nautical homo
could suck a golf ball through a straw ... and he'll eat yoose
saw-seege, or yoose nuts before yoose can hide them.

I only made them once before so far. I probably got this from the
Internet:

Nutburgers
Group 1: 115 gr walnut, 100 gr almond, 75 gr cashew, 1 clove of
garlic, big pinch of salt; food process

Group2: 1 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 3 tbsp, nutritional yeast, ¼
tsp mixed herbs, small carrot, small zuchini, 60 gr rolled oats; food
process; make paddies, pan fry

They were a bit wet, so I'll add a bit more oats next time. Also some
chilli pepper and a bit more garlic.

If you want high quality peanuts I can tell you the best peanuts are
those that you make yourself. and they are so so easy to make. Sure
deshelling peanuts can be a pain but it gives me something to do when
I am bored...

Here's the recipe

Buy a few pounds of raw peanuts, not green, not already roasted, just
plain raw peanuts

shell your nuts until you have about 2 cups...
put them in your air fryer for about 5 minutes at 400 degrees (time
may be a bit different on different machines and time will decrease
with less nuts or increase with more nuts...
when the timer goes off DO TOUCH them for about 10 minutes because
they will be flaming hot and they are still cooking...
When they are cool enough to touch then go ahead and salt them to
taste...

Now these peanuts go so well with the caramel recipe I posted before,
they also go spectacular with ice cream or even better with ice cream
and caramel and some of the crushed nuts to make a caramel sundae with
nuts. or with bananas or with almost anything there is to eat... It is
always better with nuts...

Now quit playing with nuts and put them in your mouth already.

Thats one thing we have cheap here in Virginia Beach. The city of
Suffolk is a major peanut growing area. It's about a 2 hour drive west
and a little south to get to Severn NC (where Hampton Farms is). Major
product here is raw in the shell.

We are also a major place for sweet potatoes and strawberries.

I like the cashews (which I am not allergic to) from Nutz.com. Their chocolates are crap,
but the cashews were superior. That is the only kind of nut I have ordered from them.
