The deepest pockets always seems to win in the US. We already went this route before with the milk companies. They swamped the Caribbean countries with it, making sure mums had lots of free milk and bottles given to them and then of course came the crunch when the woman couldn't afford to keep buying the formula. Then to try and spin it out they diluted it far more than it should be, with water that often was not the best for a baby, then the babies became ill. I detest companies that do these loathsome things to people. |

It also means a person that lack courage in some endeavour. However "pussy", in the home of the brave and the land of the free, also refers to a woman's vagina. My guess is that it would have the same weight and meaning as your word "fanny." Pussy was a word that most females in the US didn't much care for. Mr. Trump has pretty much blown that word waaay into the open. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnMAo1T3OzA |

I was using the word in accordance with its dictionary definition : loyalty and devotion to a nation; especially : a sense of national consciousness (see consciousness 1c) exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups Intense nationalism was one of the causes of the war. <https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nationalism> Cindy Hamilton |
