I have started using a lot more of it lately. When baking chicken
pieces I usually sprinkle them with salt, pepper and an assortment of
herbs and spices. One time it was salt, pepper, chili powder, oregano
and turmeric, which probably sounds weird, but it turned out so nicely
that my wife now uses it regularly.

Doesn't sound all that strange to me. Maybe a *little* paprika would
be good too.
