To clarify, the joke was to the comment about sales of ice makers
getting HOT. You saw my comment. It was not directed at anyone. I don't
make fun of people. I do joke about typos, unintended puns and the
like. Some people find them funny, others do not. Actually,it is a sad
commentary that it got this far. Funny or not, it is a five second
read, maybe a chuckle, and move on. No one should be targeted or

This is the only group I know of now, but there was the uk food group which
was killed off by this kind of hateful behaviour. A couple of posters were
doing this but the difference was that there was no bunch of folk joining
in. They hated it and they just left and so it continued until it died.

There was another newsgroup that was pretty much shut down by one woman.
This was a medical group and I think the woman was mentally ill. She didn't
target everyone. Mostly just the woman who started the newsgroup. She
wound up closing it down.

For doing...what? I just happened upon the newsgroup and saw what this one
woman was posting. I saw so much chaos there that I only read things and
didn't post. I then came into contact with the owner when she joined
another medical group and then heard her side of the story.
