The millenials are all pack animals and hotels are adjusting too by downsizing their rooms and building enhanced public meeting spaces. http://www.chicagotribune.com/busine...125-story.html While Hilton says it aims for Tru to "appeal cross-generationally," it stressed that it is going after the "millennial mindset," in particular. That is reflected in its choice of smaller rooms paired with larger public spaces for socializing, including a 2,770-square-foot lobby with table games, a big-screen TV and stadium-style seating, and its promise of a faster free Wi-Fi connection than its rivals. Artists' renderings released by Hilton show rooms with white walls and lobby areas with splashes of vivid primary colors, giving Tru a more contemporary look than its more traditional midscale competitors. http://www.usatoday.com/story/travel...mers/76093970/ "Millennials aren't so interested in staying in their room, but congregating in compelling spaces with great design, music and a unique point of view," says Jason Pomeranc, CEO of SIXTY Hotels, a lifestyle brand that recently opened a property in Miami. From major chains to smaller boutique enterprises, hospitality companies are redesigning properties, introducing new technologies and even creating brands to appeal to this demographic. The numbers show why: There are 83.5 million Millennials, more than one-quarter of the nation's population, according to U.S. Census Bureau figures released over the summer. That compares with 74.8 million Baby Boomers. |

We use ice all winter long; DH rarely is without a great big glass of ice water at the ready; I drink a couple of large ice waters every day, year round. When he's snow-blowing, he has me put a big glass of ice water out on the deck for when he takes a break. Shoot, he uses a dozen ice cubes before he goes to work in the morning. Then again, our house is conditioned to 71 F all year long. We definitely use more ice in the summer, when we're both working outside in the heat and humidity. Cindy Hamilton |

Well Sheldon, you at least have THAT part of physics clear! It's facinating to me exactly how physists determined that. Much like dark is just the abscence of light! Although I heard once that light bulbs and candles don't actually emit light, they are just dark suckers! Think aboujt it. what color os a burned out light bulb? Kindas black, right? It's full of dark! So is a candle wick when you blow it out: black!! From sucking up the dark! ;-) John Kuthe... |

Some ammonia, copper tubing and a low burner will do the job too. |

When a liquid changes to a gas, it absorbs heat. When a gas changes to a liquid, it releases heat. Refrigeration utilizes this principle of phase changes by using a compressor to convert a refrigerant gas to a liquid. |
