Default Eggs is spicy tomato sauce

I've been reading the grits/polenta thread, that got me hungry for
some polenta, so I made some for breakfast.
I topped the polenta with an egg that was poached in a spicy tomato
sauce. Deeelicious.

Looks excellent.

The same thread also got me to do an egg-on-grits breakfast yesterday.
Plain grits, but with a couple of tablespoons of (leftover) chopped
chives stirred in, some (leftover) shredded sharp cheddar on top,
and a barely fried egg on top of that, seasoned with a dollop of
salsa. Poaching the egg in tomato sauce would have been even better!

(No photo. It all disappeared before I thought about it :-) )

LOL, I'm going to make some grits also, just didn't have any on hand,
and they are more paleo friendly.

Looks really tasty, I like the idea of spicy tomato sauce with egg.

Now, THAT looks good.
Say, what is that gorgeous china pattern? Looks antique.

Thank you Kalima
The china is something I picked up at TJMaxx for cheap.
The stamp on it says, 222 fifth and the pattern is Gabrielle
I have the dinner and salad plates along with the salad bowl.
It's one of my favorites.

It looks like a nice Fall pattern. If I had the room I'd have at
least a dozen different sets of dinnerware to cover various seasons,
times of day and settings (kitchen, dining room, patio).

I've always preferred Marshall's for houseware type items. I don't
know if they still do it, but they used to stock Spode's Christmas
tree pattern around this time of year.

I bet I've mentioned it here before, but ( forgive) I stayed at a B and B twice, three mornings each time. He had a different Lenox pattern out each time. Said he'd been collecting them for years. He always planned on running a classy B and B and that sure did the trick. Same b'fast every morning tho - blueberry pancakes and a fruit cup. One thing I didn't care for tho - the bathroom was a down the hall affair with an old clawfoot tub. Ya sure had to be strong and agile to manage a shower.
