My nephew loves State Fair corndogs. Because he can cook them, I love
them too. The only problem is that when frying them the very ends get burned because they don't float in the Frydaddy. I think I have the largest Frydaddy they make but they will only do 2 corndogs at a time. I think the reason they don't get any larger is because having to heat a larger amount of grease would overload the kitchen outlets. I try to get him to cook them in the toaster over, but deep fried grease tastes better. |

Between OM beef dogs and Nathans beef, I prefer the OM ones. Greasy but they taste so good that I often won't even add any condiments. That said, I do like the OM cheese dogs. Probably because it's only 2 blocks from the oceanfront? Long ago it actually used to be a Safeway. Expensive but I go there most times because it is the closest. The last time my daughter came here though, she went there and was horrified at the prices. She actually yelled at me for shopping there due to the prices. Gary |

I like ordinary dogs without crunchy casings, not that Nathan's have that type, I don't know. My dogs are usually slightly crunchy, and burnt. Greg |

Unless you're making corn dogs from scratch, corndogs as he knows them are pre-made and bought from the freezer case. I know this because occasionally I like corn dogs and I buy them in the freezer section of the grocery store. So tell the nephew twice-frying of corndogs isn't necessary. They're already fried. I was at Ream's today and they also have Lithuanian sausage. I just learned of the place and I see it becoming our new meat stop. Portillo's has their own thing going on too. I don't know if he farms it out or has his own plant but the dogs are unique. Lou |
