Default What's up with Alton Brown?

Watching Iron Chef on DVR last night and saw Alton Brown. What the hell
happened to him? First saw things were different in his face in the
commercials for "Next Iron Chef" but figured it was just the lighting.
But even in Iron Chef he's looking like he's dropped a ton of weight in
a not good manner. Anybody have an idea as to what's wrong with him
physically?

BTW - Verizon is dropping usenet altogether tomorrow (September 30).

Maybe he's just cutting back. It's easy to get fat in the food biz. As
for your usenet problem, you can get a Google account. I got one in
2005 because I couldn't jump through all the hoops Verizon had for
Safari users. I couldn't even get their frigging EMail to work on
their page using the name and password they gave me, the ****ers...

One of the judges also lost a big bunch of weight and there was someone else
on Food TV that lost a lot. Maybe a corporate program? I was alarmed at
Alton Brown's look as well because his face looks so drawn. He's been
fussing with his look for a couple of years now as his hairline recedes.

Karine Bhakoum....I think she's lost lots of weight.

That's the downside of losing weight - your face has more lines, your
skin droops more, etc.. .... skin has lost its elasticity, and won't
shrink like it does when you're young.

So, if you're going to lose a lot of weight, do it while you're
young. ;-)

Don't go for Google Groups. It has poor reliability and many people
still filter out posts from it.

There are a few free providers that aren't bad. Many use
<http://eternal-septemeber.org> for text only. For a small amount of
money, 10 euros/year, <http://news.individual.net> gives excellent
text-only service. If you need some binary, like AFB, then a block
account (buy a chunk of bandwidth, use until gone) is a great deal.

Alton looks about the same to me, but Candy Crowley def. has gotten
thin in the face. My hat's off to anyone who can lose it in middle
age.

You know what they say, after 40 you have to choose between
your figure and your face. You start looking drawn.

Dacascos. He's doing o.k. so far. He talks to himself throughout the
practices. LOL.
