I think you're exaggerating a tad. Maybe you're judging all evening
news by their political stories, which are a very small part of the
overall news scene.

I really do believe the newscats when they say a plane carrying 127
crashed and burned. And I believe 99% of the other stuff they
report (excluding the weather).

Newsprint may be a different story.

Shit, that was nothing. I didn't know it would be so easy.

Her comments *are* ironic. Pretending to be Kili's Savior when Kili
didn't even associate with her. She's just doing this to try and
hurt Allan. She needs killing along with Sheldon.

What do you mean by "associate" with her? Kili and CC had many
back-and-forths on the group just like many of you. Cybercat doesn't
nicy-nice with anyone unless she really likes someone, and I should know.
I've been on the other end of that and back. She, like many, do know there
are real people on the other side of the monitor, and with her it's all or
nothing. That's a "real life" trait based on intuition and observation.
And not a bad thing, for real.

The question, which you snipped, we

"Ever had a cat? Do you know anything about cats? Do you know
anything about animals or do you adopt Bobo's mentality when it
comes to house pets?"

And I answered all that, and more.

I've had way too much patience with you, Michael. Since you never
answered several of my emails during the time when you were
obviously high on life coordinating Kili's and Alans Usenet
communications (maybe Jill had something to do with that, it's now
kinda obvious), I now declare war on you.

You're really not a kind person. You're a little drama wussie. And
you shall be my bitch from now on.

He awakens in his Crystal Palace the same way every morning, my lord.

He awakens to hairball vomits on his face, **** on his feet and plenty of
scratches around his genitalia, which he leaves exposed all night.

His cats love him as much as we do.

The Sheldon will never learn that it is indeed the most hated beast in all
of usenet, it must be shunned.
Of course this will never happen and all newcomers to the group will be
taken in by it's initial kindness, then slammed to the ground like
yesterday's rubbish.

Shelly, get that ****ing cat off the counter!

Bring it on mother****er. I need a real reason.

In case you haven't noticed, she has passed away.

You aren't insulting her anymore. You're not even insulting me.

You are merely making yourself appear more of an idiot than if you'd kept
your mouth shut.
I do realize that's impossible for you.

I don't pity you. I look forward to the day you die a miserable ****ing
death with nobody around you.

Let's just say that my opinion of the worthlessness of tv news is not
shared by most people.

> Maybe you're judging all evening
> news by their political stories, which are a very small part of the

No, it's the emphasis on the "bad" things. Disasters are their
specialty. I'm sure they'd like to bring back the old circuses, the
ones with the lions and the Christians.

> I really do believe the newscats when they say a plane carrying 127

The weather has always been a joke, but I don't think those people on
the tv news know much about weather. They were hired to read scripts
and look pretty, not to understand what they are reading.

I'm not saying that I doubt the truth of what appears on tv news, just
that they select different things than I would choose, and do a very
superficial job of presenting the information. Not surprisingly, the
emphasis is all on the video, not the information.

> Newsprint may be a different story.

As far as I am concerned, watching tv news is like only reading the
headlines of a newspaper. With the newspaper, there is some actual
detail in the body of the articles.

Sheldon, why the **** would you change just a single term from "passed away"
to "croaked" in TFM's post? I understand less and less about people reading
Usenet, let alone in my world. *shrug* People wonder why I care more
about animals than people. And yes, I'd chose the life of an animal over a
human any day. Except the life of a child. Ok now I'm rambling. Carry on

I love you, Cheryl. FFS don't tell anyone, I have a reputation to uphold. I
would not have survived the death of a child. And I no longer trust people
who do not love animals.

They are deficient in ways I just don't want to know about.

Ob food: I made those sinisterly good meatball subs again and The Most
Killer deviled eggs, too. Tonight. Cheap-ass yellow mustard is NOT the same
in them as Grey Poupon.

Slinking off to bed and my latest book ... "Villa Incognito," by Tom
Robbins, who was a lot more amusing when I was in my teens and knew less
about sex but is still pretty funny.

Oh, OK. No argument there - I should have realized that. I thought this
was heading towards a "the politicians control the media" rant.

I've always thought somebody should produce a "good news" show, but I
realized the ratings would suck. People want tragedy, not heroism.

I know it's so un-PC to wish somebody dead and rejoice the day they die,
but there are exceptions to every rule - and this is certainly one of them.

I think if a bunch of us get together virtually at the same time every
night and concentrate really hard on wishing Sheldon Katz dead, that we
might actually succeed.

I dunno Steve. More and more people I talk to are seldom watching the
news any more because it's so freakin' depressing.

I'm one of them! I get most of my News from the 'net and talk radio.
I only very rarely watch TV any more.

Lol...

I am currently reading a great dishy book about the making of _All About
Eve_, entitled _All About All About Eve_ by Sam Staggs*. Talullah Bankhead
thought she should have gotten the role of Margo Channing and she was
insanely jealous in any case of Bette Davis. Davis had done films of
several of Talu's stage hits, e.g. _Dark Victory_ and _The Little Foxes_.
"She STOLE my roles that I should have filmed!" Talu' would drunkenly
thunder through her cigarette haze...

Anyways Talu initiated a "feud" with Bette - but Bette didn't respond, she
was busy doing other things. This "feud" thing took on a life of it's own,
with Talu doing Bette imitations, etc., for years. But Bette simply did not
fall for the bait, it was pretty funny (Bette would reserve her "feud" for
the hapless Joan Crawford a few years later, hehe...)...

So I am glad that fallen diva Steve is resurrecting the persona of *** icon
and notorious "fag hag" Talullah Bankhead...!!!

;-P

[* Staggs has also written "behind the scenes" books about the filmings of
_Sunset Boulevard_, _On The Waterfront_, and a new one about _Imitation Of
Life_...all highly recommended for film aficionados...]

Everything would have to be made with pre-packaged ground beef. And
we could serve various seafoods with cheese. Let me know when to
start shopping. I'm game!

I've never watched the news. I will read the local section of the
newspaper online or in print sometimes, and glance at the business
section blurbs, but that is all. Been like that since I could read.

I listen to NPR at work and that's all. I wake up to whatever
station comes in clear, and turn it off.

Talk radio. Eeeek. Alex Jones?
