TGIF Breakfast
Two wgwh toast slices lightly coated in non-salted butter and covered with nuked egg beaters and spread generously/selectively (bite by bite) with pesto sauce and guacamole, a small tub of strawberry Jell-O and a tall glass of fruit-flavored Gatorade. I feel I gotta add some poundage, otherwise I might not make the team this season!!! You? Andy Defensive lineman Kill... Kill... Kill... Any questions? |

One of my family's staples is "pasticcio di zucchine", where boiled and mashed zucchini get mixed with bechamel sauce, grated parmigiano reggiano and a bit of breadcrumbs on top to help the gratin. -- Vilco Mai guardare Trailer park Boys senza qualcosa da bere a portata di mano |

The anchovy in the oil acts as it does in orecchiette ai broccoli, much nicer with. |

The "start your day right with a hearty breakfast" lie is just that. All my life, I suffered from the mid morning blues, sleepiness and dullness, even back in elementary school. Then I read the book "Fit For Life." I don't agree with all the premises there, but eating nothing but fruit before noon sure makes sense and sure works for me. Now, if I give in and eat the kind of decadent breakfast I always used to eat, I feel like I just swallowed a bowling ball. I do occasionally miss those kinds of breakfasts, so if I do decide to indulge, I'll just have breakfast for dinner. Works for me. |

My favorite fruit is red & green seedless grapes, followed by Fuji apples, strawberries and on occasion, bananas. Best, Andy |

Are they equally sweet/tart/crunchy as Fuji? I just tried to ring up my favorite produce market but as usual, they're not picking up the phone. They've obviously got no thyme for that. ![]() Best, Andy |

I listened to a podcast last week of Mark Bittman hawking his latest book, Food Matters. In the book he talks about making a decision (for several reasons) to not eat animal products before dinner each day. His health improved, he lost weight and feels better. I've been thinking about giving it a try but I'm pretty invested in dairy products for breakfast. Maybe I'll give it a show next week and see how it goes. Jon |

I still have to work tonight, so it's still Thursday night. :-P Brunch today was a 7 oz. ground grilled beef patty with some Bragg's liquid aminos and a side serving of steamed baby bok choy dressed with a very small amount of butter, some dill weed, salt free lemon pepper and sesame seeds. 2 Wylers cubes will be allowed during tonights work shift. -- Peace!
