I use an old Rival electric slicer. It's a bit slow but, does a good
job.

Have been meaning to get the router out, some wood
sellys wood glue and have a go at this ,Have a heap of Huon Pine left
and some very dark Blackwood and cedar for ages

Might make up a template and jig and mass produce

http://www.runnerduck.com/bread_slicer.htm

A webs site sent by a mate ages ago started the idea for the above
hobby project

Been using a horrible looking plastic device
that cost 2 bucks from a local show for years
You put in your loaf and slide through the guides

But Red /orange plastic just makes the kitchen look lousy

However Fresh bread does not very long especially in winter with
various thick & hearty soups

Any orders ? Huon Pine is a beautiful wood both to work with or just
to admire its innate beauty and smell (also great smoking saw dust ) For
Trout, salmon or eel

Sounds beautiful, but the postage from Australia to Minnesota is
prohibitive. I hope you'll post pictures of your completed
masterpiece.
