My thoughts and prayers are with Kili and you. Please let her know I'm
thinking of her. I hope she finally gets to fully recover.

Please convey my best wishes and a hope for a fast recovery to her.
Bring her something nice to eat, if she is allowed any "outside" food.

You people (in general) are alright. Christy's feeling a bit better today.
The pain level is down but she has a temp of 103.

I'll let you know more as I get the info.

S'good about the pain, lets hope the damn temp does the same thing.

You could always sponge her down regularly with a wet hand towel, with
the aircon/fan on full bore :-) Or is it winter down there?

Please give her my best wishes for a recovery, whether it's speedy or slow
doesn't matter........ just a recovery would be good.

TFM, I haven't been on rfc for few days and was saddened to see your post. I
hope Christy is still hanging in there and doing ok. I would dearly love to
have her phone number at the hospital so I could talk to her and add my well
wishes to all the other rfc'ers who know, love, and deeply respect Christy
for the beautiful fearless person she is.

I too add my well wishes for her. However, I don't want to call her,
as I know what it is like being in the hospital and being deluged with
phone calls, especially when you don't feel well...much less hanging
on. And knowing Christy, she doesn't say no to answering them.

If she wants to call me, she has my phone number, I think.

When I'm in the hospital I don't mind talking on the phone to people;
but I do mind having visitors unless they are certain special people.

TFM requested the calls, so Christy must be ok with them.

I didn't see that post, but Jill tells me the testing schedule is
wearing her out.

Being in the hospital sucks. The never let you SLEEP and I never have

You need to sleep to heal.

No problem.

I read where you said she is coming home. I'm so happy to hear this news.
I'll hold off till she is feeling better. Give my love to kili and I thank
you for taking the time to keep us all informed, when you didn't have to,
specially in the face of flak from some people. My best wished to you both.

Default STOP - Christy's in the hospital - NO more calls

I don't know how to put this.

She's been run through the wringer in more ways than one. Perhaps a
hospital bed isn't the best place to be fielding calls from.

I'm not very good at being polite, so I'll be direct.
Can everybody stop calling her?

We will let everybody know everything as soon as we know anything. She
needs some rest right now.

I'm not a doctor, she's not a doctor. We know nothing until a DOCTOR tells
us something.

I won't answer calls at home or on the cell from any unrecognized number, so
don't waste your time with me.

We appreciate your love and concern. We really do. Please just let her get
through this.

Please don't apologize.

I know, I've been there.

Both Christy and you are in my thoughts and if good wishes counted, by
now she'd be climbing Mount Everest with you at her side.

Do what you need to in order to stay strong and stay sane.

I wondered about this. That's why I didn't even try to telephone, and I
want to! I hope you'll update RFC (and chat) about her when y'all get
the opportunity. I'm sure everyone's very worried about Kili and hopes
she'll recover and recuperate as soon as possible. Best wishes and
prayers,

Sky

Has it occurred to you that perhaps Christy wanted the phone calls but just
didn't realize how many people would want to cheer her up with a call?

This is a new low, even for you.

TFM is a moron. Christie, on the other hand, is a delight.

Why would you feel the need to say something like that, to somebody
dealing with such a situation? To what possible purpose?

You know, I've tried to be objective, to ignore other people's
assessments of you, to draw my own conclusions. Your nemesis, "Morphin'
Morrow", in all of his various incarnations, has been in my kill file
for ages. But over the past few days it's become obvious that you
are... well, I was going to say an ass, but that would be an insult to
donkeys. So let's go with mindless, shameful, mean spirited and ugly
instead.

Is there a word for what's wrong with you? Do you have a diagnosis? Is
there a pill that might help?

She does need meds. I finally gave up on her and moved her into my
killfile sometime back. She's no longer worth the screenspace imho.

Too bad. She used to be funny and personable. Now she's just flushable.

I only see her posts when others quote her.

I have to say, interjecting herself into this particular thread in the way
that she did does nothing to improve her *already* squalid rep here...

She can troll away all she wants, but *not* about something as serious as
this...

No apology needed. You and Christy both need to concentrate on nothing but
her recovery. Know that many prayers are being sent your way, and don't be
concerned with the rfc'ers. We all know you keep us advised when
appropriate.

Consider establishing a CaringBridge site for her. It's free and
provides a way for the sick to keep interested parties apprised of
condition, changes, prognoses, diagnoses, etc.
http://www.caringbridge.org. Take a look.

IIRC, she already has one, unless it was terminated.
