Default Barefoot Contessa (Ina): A meal I'll make.

Probably one of the very few dishes I've seen made on FoodTV that looked
good enough to try.

She "invented" a seared tuna/avocado salad. I've rarely cooked fresh tuna
steak.

I read the reviews. Some say too much salt. It seems like it but the lime
juice should offset that.

Adding seedless cucumber sounded good, too.

A reviewer also suggested sesame oil as the salad oil. I wonder.

I suspect with some mild fresh grated cheese this might make good fish
tacos.

I've got everything but avocadoS, cucumbers and tuna steak.

One of the Japanese restaurants near us serves something quite
similar, although it is served in the mostly scooped out avocado
shell.

Dee-lish.

Sounds good. Some thinly sliced cucumber would be a nice addition. Also
a bit of sesame oil, applied with discretion.

There is already lots of seasoning with the citrus, hot sauce, wasabi
and onions. I think there is way too much salt for that amount of food.

My current favorite method for pan seared tuna is with Thai red curry.

I agree but from a trick to taming fish sauce in my Thai chicken satay,
one of the members suggested doubling the lime juice and it worked.

I can easily cut down on the salt but at the same time cut back on the
lime.

Sounds good, only I've got a lifetime supply of Thai yellow curry paste.

Post your recipe or link it? The least I can do is toss it in the recipe
box..
