Default Vines for Austin

Dear fellow winers

Can I get a recommend for vines and rootstocks for Austin Texas or more
specifically Dripping Springs area.

This hi-tek migrant laborer had to sell his house in central California
but doesn't want to give up on the vineyard.

My preference is for reds but if there's a particularly suited white
I'd be interested too. Vinifera is prefered but I have read Pierce
disease is a problem out here and so might consider a hybrid.
Yee-Har!

Chris
