Matt,
Try this: insert the corner of a handkerchief of bandanna a few inches into the carboy and smooth it around the inner surface of the neck. Turn the carboy over so the bung falls into the neck and rests against the cloth. Draw out the cloth, and the bung should come with it. HTH Mike MTM |

Fill the carboy about 1/3 full of water. Turn it upside down (over the tub, or outdoors), and shake it. |
