For Sale:

1 case (12 bottles) CARRUADES DE LAFITE ROTHSCHILD, 1999
2nd WINE OF CH. LAFITE ROTHSCHILD, PAUILLAC

Tasting note: The 1999 Carruades de Lafite is made in the style of its bigger sibling. It reveals graphite, lead pencil,
black currant, and cedary aromas, medium body, sweet glycerin, and a gorgeously expansive texture and palate. The wine is
long and Lafite-like, and is unbelievably impressive. Anticipated maturity: 2003-2015. Score - 89. (Robert Parker Jr.,
www.erobertparker.com, April 1, 2002)

CAD$ 840 (Current Vintages price: CAD$ 1032)

Wine has been properly stored since purchase from Vintages.
Original wooden case is unopened. Will open for serious buyer.

Located in Ottawa, Canada
Cash and carry.

David,
I don't usually post about FS posts (which are generally discouraged
around here), but I find myself shocked by this price. Is the Vintages
price truly over $900US/cs? I know I've seen this wine for
$40-45US/bottle in NY several times recently, and never thought that
was a particular bargain.

Hmmm, even if I pay for healthcare I'm ahead in US!

Never ahead on that issue, but the Carruades 1999 should
be less than $US50 per bottle, even without the digitalis.
