Default Cloudy Bay Pinot Noir 2004

Opened this yesterday, after a night with good friends, because Xina and
self wanted just another glass before shuteye. Uncertain if we obtained in
Systembolaget (the Swedish monopoly) or Kjaer og Sommerfeldt.
Nose slightly funky, bit of leather, red berries, could just pass for a
Bourgogne ...
On palate quite different, nice refreshing acidity, spiciness, acceptable
length. A certain smokiness, and, thanks to the things that go bump in the
night, no RS. Nor has it been maltreated with oak. Manages to be on the one
hand obviously PN, on the other, just as obviously, not Bourgogne. Go,
kiwis, go.
Cheers
Nils

I've seen this locally (unsure vintage), but at $30ish I haven't
bitten. Thanks for notes,
