Default A glass of wine?

I'm a garbage eater with a food eating disorder. I'm a vegan at heart. Being
a vegan is a dream I need to caught or I'll just be dead way before my time.
I'm 60 and I always ate good and healthy and was an athletic but over the
last 5 years I've been going down hill. So I want to get rid of my meds
which I know I can and have a glass of wine every night. By the way I'm a
non drinker, but I got to do something. If I go on a cleansing diet it would
be like your regular diet and would a glass of red wine every night be ok.
Why a glass of wine? It's an excuse to get rid of my meds. So what kind of
wine is best and how much? I don't even know how many oz. are in a glass of
wine. Why this post? I smell and I take one or two showers a day, I have bad
breath, I ache all over, I feel sick all the time and the doctors say I'm ok
and I could fill this page up with crap that's wrong with me. So a cleansing
diet, a glass of wine and if God likes me a vegan diet without screwing it
up.

Athletes do not know how to eat. If you ate "good and healthy" you
would not have stopped, and you would not be in your present state.

There is nothing wrong with a little drugs to take the edge off<g>.

A "cleansing diet" is supposed to help excrete the toxins ingested
during the "regular diet".

> Why a glass of wine? It's an excuse to get rid of my meds.

Alcohol will not help you get rid of meds. If you enjoy it, and like
any drug, if you don't hurt yourself with it, enjoy it.
Better than expensive commercial crap, make your own mead, a fermented
honey that one can tweak with an endless variety of fruit flavors.
Google "honey mead" and it is really simple, and quick to ferment out;
if you are not a mead snob that insists in "finishing" a batch for years.

Doctors do not know anything about getting healthy; they profit ONLY
when you are sick and are forced, by ignorance, to be victimized by them.

First step would be to give all the animal products in your house to the
neighbors, or their cats/dogs. Dump dairy, eggs, fish, any animal protein
and/or animal fat.
The first meal of the day could be fruit juice or LOTS of fruit if you
think you need to get "full". Lots of fruit could be 5 apples, 4 bananas, 5
peaches, ...
This will keep your blood sugar up, but not create the "rush and crash"
hypoglycemic roller coaster normally caused by table sugar and/or caffeine.
Two hours later, more fruit.
Two hours later more fruit.
Lunch: HUGE raw salad made of any vegetables you like. Eat until you
get "full"; you will eat less as your body adjusts to the high fiber diet.
Maybe another big salad in the afternoon.
For "supper" a HUGE dish of brown rice and stir-fry vegetables.
A couple of hours later, maybe some apples for the fiber.

When you get hit by the inevitable "cleansing reactions" be sure you are
totally familiar with:

Thank you Laurie, you make good since. I'm doing the fruit in the morning,
and no animal products and am losing weight, and I will weaver and when I do
I can just think how much sooner do I want to die. Thanks again.

I should, you don't know me, so a little intro might be in order.
I have a strong background in chemistry, apparently unique among the
current crop of self-appointed nutribabblers. This, 38 years of personal
experiential research and guiding many others in that period has given me a
rational perspective where irrationality reigns.

I'm trying to get to grips with all this stuff, so please excuse me if I'm
missing something.

On http://ecologos.org/ttdd.html you say:

"Worse, most orthodox nutritional texts tout the orthodox party line,
conceptually sponsored by the USDA, which is nothing more than a trade
organization of the agricultural/meat/dairy/grain industries. "

There are various links ("This page will link to analyses and correction of
some of these totally absurd, absolutely unsupportable, yet annoyingly
enduring myths, in addition to providing other interesting information.")

including one to Jerry Story's DMAK http://freshmeat.net/projects/dmak/ I
thought that this might be interesting, but I find that Jerry's home page
states "Calculations are made according to specified minimums and maximums,
and using the data downloaded from the USDA."

Is DMAK one of the baddies, or are you saying that it is valid, despite its
reference data

I tried installing the application, but it just ...... doesn't do anything -
I'll see if the windoze version is any better :-(
