Hi Brent, When I want to store my starter(s) for a while, I just mix 'em up super stiff (that is, lots of flour kneaded in) until they are rather like firm clay. I then seal the lump of starter in a small screwtop plastic jar and put it in the fridge. It is happy in that condition for several months and then on feeding comes back to life very quickly. All the best, -- Kenneth If you email... Please remove the "SPAMLESS." |
