Pepper bread
Something I discovered entirely by accident. Recently I made a new loaf of
sourdough bread, but when I reached for the poppy seed I mistakenly picked up the pepper container next to it. I gave the loaf a good dusting of white pepper, which is hotter than black pepper. I immediatly put the loaf under the sink faucet to wash away as much of the pepper as possible, but of course a bit was left. The result: A loaf with a delicate pepper flavor. Not what you'd want every time, but not bad for a change. |
