Default Pickled sausage recipe wanted

I have a project in mind which involves pickling kiebasa sAusages.
I want to cut the ring shaped sausages into lengths about 1
1/2inches long pour a hot pickling solution over the sausage pices
and treat with a hot water bath- I expect to make about 2 quarts of
the pickled sausages. ..........BUT.............I need a recipe for
the pickling solution as well as suggestons of flavoring agents to
add to the solution.
