1) i was given a quart of home canned green beans. i do not know
the person who canned them, as she gave them to my MIL who passed them on to me... i'm assuming they were pressure canned, but i don't know for sure. the lid is sealed, but the beans are 1-2 *inches* above the liquid level. should i just toss them or not? 2) when making crabapple jelly, does it matter if the crabapples may have a worm or two? i don't spray the trees & i have a bumper crop this year, but i may miss a couple wormy ones if they aren't obviously misshapen... lee <and is crabapple peach a good combo?> |
