Is that the one of her looking at the camera (with her never empty wine
glass) and going "Yarp, yarp, yarp"??

Heya all,

I finally got the cook-in pics loaded.

Almost all of them are there, except for one that Terry won't let me
post: she says she will hunt me down like a dawg if I post it. I
wish she would let me post it...it's a good one.

Enjoy!!!

Cathy, pick whatever you want from this album to put on the RFC web
page....

The picture of the Sangria pitcher also shows what looks like a salad.
Is that jicama?
Also, do you recall what was in the paella pan (picture number 18), two
items down from the ham?
Wonderful ham! Who got the bone?

You are so selfish. Take one for the team, put up the picture

Agreed. Christine, can you put captions on the pics? I'm sure a lot of us
know the people by name, but not by face. Looks like a great time was had
by all, in a beautiful place.

I don't recall. A lot of the food pictures weren't labeled cause I
couldn't remember what they were.

Yes. That was my Chicken Country Captain.

>Wonderful ham! Who got the bone?

It was boneless. At the end all of the families there got a chunk of
ham to take home. Since I am a family by myself, I got a nice chunk.
Still trying to decide what to do with it.

Yeah, well, you already spilled the beans that it was the one where she
was pointing to the urine sample she'd produced after getting
shit-faced drunk on limoncello. ;o)

Better try?

LOL!!!!!

Yeah, she was pointing to the rest of the limoncello that I left in
her hands.

That bottle of limoncello in my pictures does look like urine, doesn't
it?

I don't think any of us drank all that much of it, cause it was so
strong. I think I had two shots of it, and I don't know how much
everyone else drank of it. I must have left Terry with over half of
what I brought, and what I brought wasn't that much.

Ya know, for all the reputation that southern California cook-ins have
as far as drinking, I don't think any of us were drunk. If anyone
was, they hid it well.

existence of this picture anyway....

I saw the picture long before Terry told her "don't show it". It's a
cute picture and Terry looks *very* happy. Heck, I'd be happy too if
I just scored that much homemade lemoncello!

I was going to ask for the recipe, but got off my lazy butt and Googled
it :-)

http://www.recipezaar.com/13264

Limoncello , Lemoncella

This is a great lemony flavored vodka that is great for sipping after
dinner, or anytime. I always try to keep some in the freezer.

15 thick skinned lemons
2 (750ml) bottles 100% proof vodka
4 cups sugar
5 cups water

1. Wash the lemons well with a vegetable brush and hot water to
remove any residue of pesticides or wax.
2. Pat the lemons dry.
3. Using a vegetable peeler, peel the lemons.
4. If you do get some of the pith with the zest, carefully scrape it
away with the tip of a knife.
5. Fill the jar with one bottle of the vodka and the zest.
6. Cover the jar and let it sit forty days at room temperature in a
dark cabinet.
7. Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan, bring it to a boil and
cook until thickened, about five minutes.
8. Let the syrup cool before adding it to the limoncello mixture,
along with the other bottle of vodka.
9. Cover and return to the cupboard for another 40 days.
10. Strain the limoncello into bottles and discard the lemon zest.
11. Store them in a cupboard or the freezer.

It'd wanna be worth the wait after 80days!!

You wouldn't say that if you lived in southern California, as
Christine does. I can drive to her house and poison her canary in
about an hour and a half <g>
