For just 30 cal, this is the best recipe I have ever come accross.
There are only two ingredients: Sugar free Jello ( I substitute the Walmart brand which has only 20 cal. for the entire pack) Make according to dir. After set, place the entire portion in a blender and add 1/2 a 6-oz. non-fat yogurt cup (80 cal for the whole thing, but since you only use half, it's 40 cal) Blend just a few seconds. Pour into two larger bowls and place those in the FREEZER for 30 min. If you leave them in too long, (I think they might freeze solid, but 30 min. is perfect). Remove, stir the little layer of ice that has formed into the mixture and eat. Each bowlful is only 30 cal. My daughter calls this Yojo for yogurt + jello. I match the flavor of yogurt with the corresponding flavor of gelatine. You could also add fresh fruit right at the end. dkw |

I only wish I could get over the ingredients in Jello. (Actually I wish nobody had told me ...) Inviato da X-Privat.Org - Registrazione gratuita http://www.x-privat.org/join.php |

I only wish I could get over the ingredients in Jello. > (Actually I wish nobody had told me ...) They make a plant-based gelatin you could use. I suppose that comes plain but I've never seen it, so you would have to add your own artificial sweetner and flavoring. A few hooves, bones, and horns never hurt anyone. They taste just like fingernails. It is very difficult to avoid gelatin. They put it in a lot of stuff like gum, ice cream, candies, jellies, and it's also in the yogurt. It is a really cheap thickening agent it why. I'm sure there is a way around it, but it wouldn't be so easy to make. dkw > > > > Inviato da X-Privat.Org - Registrazione gratuita http://www.x-privat.org/join.php |
