Back when we were teens and just after we got married - am I dating
myself? - fondues were all the rage. We never got into the fondue scene then. We were just gifted with what I think is a pretty nice looking fondue set so I have a new cooking toy to play with. I'm going to do a small trial run but the first real appearance will be at a superbowl party DH is hosting. He's in the Dominican all of next week so that gives me time for menu planning and the like. I'm thinking a Pizza Fondue would go over well for this event. I have the recipe already so I'm good to go on this. I'm thinking honey garlic meatballs might be good too. I'll need to find something to balance both. They will have all kinds of snack stuff out so healthy food is likely out of the question anyway. DH doesn't know but one of the guys has frequently talked of homemade doughnuts I made for one card party so I'm planning on making them again for this event. |
